About Churchill Photography

Skip comes from a long line of photographers; his grand-dad Luther Churchill was an aspiring amateur photographer.  Skip's dad, Sonny Churchill, often won prizes in amateur photography in his hometown of East Bridgewater, Mass.  Skip's first camera was a Brownie when he was in his teens and he bought his first Nikon as a Green Beret in the U.S. Army in the early 1970's.  During the 1970's and 1980's Skip perfected the art of nature photography, black and white developing and printing.  Skip began Churchill Photography in 1982 by photographing weddings, and has expanded to fulfill the photography needs of western and central Maine ever since.

Skip lives in a home surrounded by perennial flowers, he's never at a loss for something to photograph.  However, when Skip takes a moment from photography, you won't find him in the studio because he will be fishing, bird or deer hunting, depending on the season.  Maine is truly a sportsman's paradise with beautiful ponds, lakes, fields and woods.
